Safely select and apply relevant methods (DIN 743 / FKM)

Main focus
  • Criteria for a comprehensive wave calculation
  • Dynamic and static strength verification
  • Notch coefficients and material influencing factors
  • Fatigue strength and load spectra
  • Computer-aided application of DIN 743
  • Comparison of areas of application DIN 743 / FKM guideline

On the subject

Shafts and axles are important elements for the transmission of movements, forces and moments and are used in a wide variety of machine designs in many different ways. The aim of the seminar is the safe application of shaft calculation based on DIN 743 in order to meet the existing requirements for recognized methods of safety verification. The theory of safety verification in accordance with DIN 743 Parts 1-4 is explained in a practical manner using examples.

In addition to the determination of safety factors in the nominal stress concept, further topics of a comprehensive shaft calculation, such as load spectra, fatigue strength calculations, deflections, critical speeds and other calculation methods (e.g. FKM guideline) are part of the seminar. Digital calculation programs can also be included for efficient application.
