Procedure based on the European Pressure Equipment Directive
Main focus
- Introduction and special features of the different device types
- Basics of strength calculation
- Influence of the life cycle on the design of pressure vessels
- Overview of relevant directives, norms and standards
- The practical implementation of PED 2014/68/EU (Pressure Equipment Directive)
- Examples with practical relevance, interpretation using the example of the AD2000 regulations
On the subject
In addition to the process engineering design, which primarily focuses on the function, the strength engineering design of equipment plays a decisive role in terms of safe operation. The longest possible service life as well as high reliability and availability are further objectives. Knowledge and application of the mandatory and optional guidelines, norms and standards are essential for this.
Objective
This seminar will teach you the strength design of pressurized equipment based on the European Pressure Equipment Directive. You will learn about the differences between the relevant norms, standards, directives and laws as well as their application-specific selection. The structure and application of the AD 2000 regulations will be clearly explained using case studies for selected elements. After the seminar, you will know what to look out for in your future designs and constructions.
